Match the Tool to the Material

The wrong bond glazes or wears out fast. Use this quick reference to shortlist the right Diamond Vantage line before you request specifications.

Material / JobRecommended LineWhy It Matters
Cured & reinforced concrete, asphalt Professional Series Bond matched to aggregate hardness keeps diamonds exposed for consistent speed and life.
Fresh slabs & control joints Green Concrete Cuts early, before random shrinkage cracks form, without raveling soft joint edges.
Brick, block, pavers, low HP saws High Speed/Masonry & Low HP Segment designs optimized for lower power deliver free cutting where premium blades may glaze.
Openings & penetrations Core Drilling Wet or dry options for clean holes through rebar-reinforced concrete and masonry.
Mortar joints & crack repair Tuck Point & Crack Chasers Wide, controlled-profile cuts prepare joints and cracks for repointing or sealant.
Coatings, mastic, floor prep Surface Preparation PCD and diamond grinding tools remove coatings and profile slabs efficiently.
Porcelain, ceramic, granite, marble Tile / Stone Fine-grit, continuous-rim style designs reduce chipping on finished edges.
Steel, ductile iron, rebar DiamondX® Diamond metal-cutting blades maintain diameter far longer than consumable abrasive wheels.
Rule of thumb: hard aggregate needs a softer bond; soft, abrasive material needs a harder bond. For grades, bonds and saw compatibility, see our Technical Info.

FAQ

Buyer Questions, Answered

Practical answers from our product engineers for contractors, distributors and importers evaluating diamond tool suppliers.

More Technical Info
How do I choose the right diamond blade for concrete?

Match the bond to the aggregate. Hard aggregate such as flint or river rock needs a softer bond so worn diamonds release and fresh diamonds are exposed. Soft, abrasive aggregate and green concrete need a harder bond to resist wear. Then confirm saw horsepower, blade diameter, arbor size and whether you will cut wet or dry.

What is early entry (green concrete) cutting?

Early entry cutting places control joints in fresh concrete within the first hours after finishing, before random shrinkage cracks can form. It requires early entry saws and blades designed to cut cleanly without raveling the soft joint edges.

Is Diamond Vantage a manufacturer or a distributor?

Diamond Vantage is a true manufacturer. It manufactures 100% of the diamond tools it sells, which supports consistent quality, engineering support and competitive pricing.

Does Diamond Vantage offer private label or co-branded diamond tools?

Yes. Diamond Vantage offers private label and co-branding programs, along with incentive programs tailored to each customer's needs.

When should I use wet cutting instead of dry cutting?

Wet cutting cools the blade, extends tool life and helps control respirable crystalline silica dust, making it the preferred method for deep and continuous cuts. Dry blades suit intermittent handheld cutting, allowing the blade to cool between passes.

Where does Diamond Vantage ship from?

Diamond Vantage stocks inventory at its West Region main office in Irvine, California and its East Region facility in Covington, Georgia, supporting quick turnaround for distributors and contractors.
